Tim Cook ruft Donald Trump an und gratuliert zum Wahl-Sieg

Während des Wahlkampfes hat Donald Trump allerhand Wahlversprechen gemacht und sich unter anderem mit Apple angelegt. So wollte er im Fall des Wahlsiegs Apple dazu zwingen, das iPhone in den USA zu fertigen. Auch in den Fall, als das FBI von Apple das Knacken eines iPhone 5C verlangt hatte, war man unterschiedlicher Meinung. Apple lässt zwar prüfen, was es bedeutet würde, das iPhone in den USA zu fertigen, ob dies allerdings so kommen wird, ist mehr als fraglich. Parallel dazu macht der Hersteller aus Cupertino darauf aufmerksam, dass er seit 2007 mehr als 2 Millionen Arbeitsplätze in den USA geschaffen habe.

Tim Cook gratuliert Donald Trump zum Wahlsieg

Die US-Wahlen 2016 gehören mittlerweile der Vergangenheit an und wir wissen, dass im kommenden Januar Donald Trump zum nächsten US-Präsidenten ernannt wird. Zumindest, wenn nichts mehr besonderes passiert.

Meinungsverschiedenheiten hin oder her. Donald Trump hat in einem Interview verraten, dass Tim Cook ihn kürzlich angerufen und zum Wahl-Sieg gratuliert habe. Der genaue Inhalt des Gesprächs ist allerdings unbekannt. Im übrigen hat nicht nur Tim Cook zum Hörer gegriffen, sondern noch viele weitere. Auch Bill Gates gehörte zu den Gratulanten.

Das eingebundene Video zeigt Donald Trump bei einer Wahlkampfveranstaltung, bei der er unter anderem über Apple spricht. Laut Medien ist Trump mittlerweile schon wieder von ein paar seiner „Ideen“ abgerückt. Die New York Times zitiert das Gespräch zwischen Cook und Tump wie folgt

I was honored yesterday, I got a call from Bill Gates, great call, we had a great conversation, I got a call from Tim Cook at Apple, and I said, ‘Tim, you know one of the things that will be a real achievement for me is when I get Apple to build a big plant in the United States, or many big plants in the United States, where instead of going to China, and going to Vietnam, and going to the places that you go to, you’re making your product right here.’ He said, ‘I understand that.’ I said: ‘I think we’ll create the incentives for you, and I think you’re going to do it. We’re going for a very large tax cut for corporations, which you’ll be happy about.’ But we’re going for big tax cuts, we have to get rid of regulations, regulations are making it impossible. Whether you’re liberal or conservative, I mean I could sit down and show you regulations that anybody would agree are ridiculous. It’s gotten to be a free-for-all. And companies can’t, they can’t even start up, they can’t expand, they’re choking.
