Apple ernennt Jeff Williams zum Chief Operating Officer, Phil Schiller für App Stores verantwortlich

Apple hat sich soeben per Pressemitteilung zu Wort gemeldet und verschiedene Umstrukturierungen in der Führungsetage angekündigt. Für Jeff Williams und Phil Schiller ergeben sich neue Aufgabengebiete, Johny Srouji wird zum Apple Senior Vice President befördert und Anfang kommenden Jahres wird Tor Myhren zum Vice President ernannt.

Jeff Williams wird Chief Operating Officer

Neuerungen in der Apple Führungsetage. Apple Senior Vice President Jeff Williams, bis dato Senior Vice President of Operations, trägt ab sofort den Titel Chief Operation Officer. Diese Titel trug übrigens auch Tim Cook vor Jahren bevor er zum CEO ernannt wurde. Als COO untersteht Williams weiterhin unmittelbar Tim Cook. Er überwachte in den letzten Jahren die Apple Zulieferkette, die soziale Verantwortung des Unternehmen und war auch für die Apple Watch und ResearchKit maßgeblich verantwortlich. Die Apple Leadership-Webseite wurde bereits angepasst.

Phil Schiller für App Stores verantwortlich

Weiter heißt es in der Meldung, dass Phil Schiller (SVP of Worldwide Marketing) ein erweitertes Aufgabengebiet erhält und ab sofort auch für die App Stores (iOS, OS X, watchOS und tvOS) verantwortlich ist.

Cook continued, “In addition, Phil is taking on new responsibilities for advancing our ecosystem, led by the App Store, which has grown from a single, groundbreaking iOS store into four powerful platforms and an increasingly important part of our business. And I’m incredibly happy to welcome Tor Myhren, who will bring his creative talents to our advertising and marcom functions.”

Johny Srouji und Tor Myhren mit neuen Aufgaben

Bis dato nannte sich Johny Srouji Vice President of Hardware, sein neuer Titel lautet Senior Vice President of Hardware. Damit steigt Johny Srouji zum Hardware-Chef des Unternehmens auf und ist unter anderem für iPhone, iPad, Mac und Co. maßgeblich mitverantwortlich.

Tor Myhren wird im kommenden Jahr zu Apple stoßen. Bisher arbeitet Tor Myhren bei der Grey Group als Chief Creative Officer sowie President of Grey New York. Bei Apple übernimmt Myhren die Rolle des Vice President of Marketing Communication und wird unter anderem für Apples Werbekampagnen mitverantwortlich sein.
