Steve Wozniak: „iPhone ist seinen hohen Preis wert, auch in China“

In regelmäßigen Abständen meldet sich Apple Mitbegründer Steve Wozniak zu Wort, um über Apple, das iPhone und Co. zu sprechen. Dieses Mal äußert sich Woz zum iPhone und über den chinesischen Smartphone-Markt.

Zunächst einmal hat Woz chinesische Smartphones kommentiert und diese als wirklich gut bezeichnet. Die Chinesischen würden gute Smartphones herstellen, die über ausreichend Funktionen verfügen, gut aussehen und zu einem Preis angeboten werden, den sich jeder erlauben kann.

Gleichzeitig führte Woz aus, dass die Qualität des iPhone den hohen Preis rechtfertig.

“In life I don’t believe in quantity as much as I do in quality. So you may not have the hugest share in the market or be the No 1, but you should have the best product you can possibly build and Apple qualifies for that,” Wozniak, told reporters after he discussed artificial intelligence with Liu Zihong, chairman and chief executive of Royole, in a technology forum held at Tianan Cyber Park in Dongguan, Guangdong province, on Tuesday.

Vielmehr glaubt Woz an Qualität anstatt Quantität. Apple entwickele die besten Produkte. Anders als chinesische Hersteller sei Apple Innovationsführer bei Smartphones.

“Apple products are safe. And Apple’s pricing is high in the extreme. It’s a safe bet for a lot of people, and when you love Apple you are willing to pay for it,” he said.
