Apple Designer wechselt zu Airbnb

Vor wenigen Tagen haben wir darüber berichtet, dass drei Apple Designer das Design-Team rund um Jony Ive verlassen. Nun wird bekannt, dass ein weiterer Designer dem Unternehmen in Richtung Airbnb den Rücken kehrt.

Miklu Silvanto heuert bei Airbnb an

Wie Dezeen berichtet, wird Apple Designer Miklu Silvanto das Industrial Design Team von Jony Ive verlassen. Dort war er acht Jahre lang tätig. Silvanto wird zukünftig das Backyard Team anführen welches Teil des Airbnb Design Studios Samara ist.

Silvanto will move from Apple’s industrial design department to lead the industrial and interaction design team at Backyard – an enterprise that Samara launched last year to devise new ways to design, build and share homes better suited to new modes of living.

Silvanto hat sich bereits zum Wechsel geäußert und diesen bestätigt. Er freut sich auf seine neue Aufgabe bei Airbnb.

“Samara has a huge ambition that will be very difficult to carry out, but it’s exactly the kind of big, crazy gamble that these kinds of companies should be taking,” he said. “The nature of the work and the creative approach we’re taking make me optimistic for the future.”
