Von Quartal zu Quartal melden sich Analysten zu Wort, um ihre Einschätzungen zum Smartphone-Markt abzugeben. Nun ist es wieder soweit und die Zahlen zum Q2/2019 liegen vor.

Vor wenigen Tagen hat Apple sein offiziellen Geschäftszahlen zum abgelaufenen zweiten Kalenderquartal 2019 bekannt gegeben. Allerdings nennt der Hersteller seit vergangenem Jahr keine Verkaufszahlen mehr, so dass wir ein Stück weit auf Einschätzungen von Analysten angewiesen sind.

Strategy Analytics und Counterpoint kommen auf ähnliche Zahlen. Komplett stimmen diese allerdings nicht überein. Vermutlich liegt irgendwo in der Mitte die Wahrheit.

Strategy Analytics sieht Samsung mit 76,3 Millionen Smartphones und einem Marktanteil von 22,3 Prozent auf Platz 1. Dahinter folgen Huawei (58,7 Millionen und 17,2 Prozent), Apple (38 Millionen und 11,1 Prozent), Xiaomi (32 Millionen und 9,4 Prozent) sowie Oppo (29,8 Millionen und 8,7 Prozent).

Commenting on 5G, Varun Mishra, added “We expect that 5G will have a faster rollout than 4G LTE. Unlike 4G, which was split between FDD-LTE and TD-LTE, 5G has a universal standard, which will make the ramp-up faster. We expect sales of 5G devices to be over 20 million in 2019. Network expansion of carriers, subsidies, and more OEMs committing to early 5G device launches than during the early 4G era Since these devices are expected to be limited to the premium segment in 2019, the adoption will also drive the market average selling price (ASP). Consumers are also expecting to pay higher for the 5G smartphone than what they paid for the 4G device.”

Counterpoint sieht Samsung mit 76,6 Millionen Smartphones und einem Marktanteil von 21,3 Prozent auf Platz 1. Dahinter folgen Huawei (56,7 Millionen und 15,8 Prozent), Apple (36,4 Millionen und 10,1 Prozent), Xiaomi (32,3 Millionen und 9,0 Prozent) sowie Oppo (29,0 Millionen und 8,1 Prozent).
