Apple kauft Buddybuild – Verstärkung für das Xcode-Team

Apple hat das in Kanada ansässige App Developer Startup Buddybuild gekauft, so geht es aus einem Blogpost hervor, welches das Unternehmen auf der eigenen Webseite veröffentlicht hat.

In den vergangenen Jahren hat Apple von Zeit zu Zeit kleinere und gröeßre Firmen übernommen und in das eigene Unternehmen integriert. Zuletzt übernahmen Apple Shazam. Nun wird eine weitere Übernahme bekannt. Wie Buddybuild auf der eigenen Webseite bestätigt hat, gehört das Unternehmen jetzt zu Apple.

Buddybuild beschreibt sich setzt als Unternehmen, welches eine Plattform für Entwickler anbietet, damit diese Apps entwickeln und testen lassen können. Das gesamte Buddybuild Team wird in die Xcode Entwicklergruppe bei Apple integriert, um „atemberaubende“ Entwicklertools für die iOS Entwickler-Community bereit zu stellen.

We’ve always been proud to be a Canadian company, so we’re also pleased that we will be staying right here in Vancouver — a hotbed of developer and engineering talent.

The buddybuild service will remain available to existing customers to build, test, and ship iOS apps to testers through buddybuild.com.

As of today, we are no longer accepting new customers. Existing Free Starter plans and Android app development will be discontinued on March 1, 2018.

Buddybuild wird weiterhin von Kanada (Vancouver) aus operieren und der bisherige Buddybuild-Service wird weiterhin für Bestandskunden angeboten. Neue Kunden nimmt Buddybuild nicht mehr an.
