Apple Video: ehemalige Sony Managerin als „Head of Casting“ engagiert

Apples Video-Streaming-Dienst nimmt weiter Form an. Der Hersteller aus Cupertino konnte sich die Dienste einer ehemaligen Sony Pictures sichern und verfügt nun offiziell über eine Casting-Chefin.

Wie The Hollywood Reporter berichtet, konnte sich Apple die Dienste von Tamara Hunter und somit einer hochrangigen Sony Pictures Entertainment Managerin sichern. Bei Apple fungiert Hunter als „Head of Casting“ und ist somit für das Casting für neue TV-Shows zuständig.

Tamara Hunter untersteht den beiden Apple Managern Zack Van Amburg und Jamie Erlicht, die im vergangenen Jahr von Sony Pictures Television zu Apple gewechselt waren.

Following an extensive search, Apple has recruited Sony’s Tamara Hunter to serve as its head of casting. Hunter, who spent the past two years as head of feature casting for Sony Pictures Entertainment, will serve in the same capacity and oversee film and TV projects for Apple.

Hunter was one of several executives from both the film and TV side who had been rumored to be in the mix for the casting job at Apple. Her hiring helps solidify the types of talent that Apple plans on pursuing for its scripted originals.

Die letztern zwei Jahre arbeitete Hunter für Sony Pictures Entertainment. Davor war sie Vice President of Casting bei 20th Century Fox, wo sie z.B. an Projekten wie Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse und Hidden Figures arbeitete.
