Sharp und LG liefern ab sofort Retina Display für das iPad 3

Apple setzt auch beim neuen iPad 3 auf verschiedene Hersteller für ein und die selbe Komponente. Bekanntermaßen setzt Apple beim neuen iPad auf ein Retina Display mit einer Auflösung von 2048 x 1536 Pixel. Im Vorfeld der Vorstellung der neuen iPad Generation hieß es, dass sowohl Samsung, LG als auch Sharp das Retina Display an Apple liefern werden.

Zum iPad Verkaufsstart stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass nur Samsung die von Apple geforderten Qualitätsansprüche zur Genüge erfüllen konnte. Zumindest hieß es, dass Sharp und LG die Apple Anforderungen nicht erfüllen konnte. Im Fall von LG folgte es schnell die Information, dass die Qualität mittlerweile erreicht werden konnte.
